The park protects the city.
IKE・SUNPARK is the largest park in Toshima City. Cherry and ginkgo trees give the park seasonal attractions while white oak trees prevent fire from expanding in case of emergency. The lights are arranged to ensure safety at night in the cosy park. To prepare for natural disasters, the park is equipped with a stockpile storehouse, deep well that stores water for extinguishing a fire, and emergency toilets. When a disaster happens, the park will become a temporary evacuation space immediately and then function as a heliport and collection point for disaster supplies.

Seasonal fruits and vegetables directly from farmers

The farmers market will open every weekend in the park. Support local farmers and experience the joy of buying seasonal fruits and vegetables directly from them!

Reconsider the way we eat and the future of food
"Eat good" — a virtuous circle that starts with food. And eating good is what we're all about. Situated on IKE・SUNPARK's sprawling lawn and terrace, we're excited to reconsider the way we eat and the future of food. We aim to become a third place and pillar in the community, a place where people of all ages can come to relax at any time of day. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Small shops selling a variety of products

“KOTO-PORT” will give opportunities for people who want to start businesses in the park. There will be a variety of foods, drinks, and other items sold at the small shops of “KOTO-PORT”.

Making the garden and city self-sustaining
The community garden within IKE・SUNPARK is where people gather and learn how to grow vegetables together.
We will try to make the garden self-sustaining by using rainwater for watering and fallen leaves for composting.
